The Series returns to Playa del Rey!

All participants receive an exclusively designed Playa del Run shirt by Ed Hardy Sport!

The 2009 TYR Playa del Run Beach Festival
presented by Ed Hardy Sport
5k Run • Aquathlon • 1 Mile Swim • 1 Mile Sand Sprint - all summer long!

The 4 event series has stops at some of the top beach cities along the Southern California Coast. We guarantee some fun at the beach, "friendly" competition and a post event party that'll knock your socks off. Participants can choose between a 5k Run, an aquathlon (swim/run) a 1 mile swim or a 1 mile sand sprint. Points will be awarded for the top finishers for each event. At the end of the season, we'll award the King and Queen of the Beach Awards. Check out the site often as we'll be adding updates weekly.

caf This year our beneficiary is Heal the Bay. whose sole purpose is keeping the water you swim in - CLEAN! We'll be having an awesome raffle again this year. Tickets are only $15 and include a one year membership (valued at $25) to Heal the Bay! All raffle proceeds go directly to HtB. There will be a raffle at every event and you must be present to win. Raffle items include: TYR swim gear, Ed Hardy Sport Merchandise, BlueSeventy wetsuit, Beach Cruisers and more....

06.08.09 - PdR: Huntington Beach Recap!
 What a perfect day! Conditions could not have been better - sunny and 70s. With over 400 people partaking in the event, this was the largest PdR to date! Results are up!

We're just a month away - and we hope every one is getting hungry for some beach festivitites. Whole Foods Market is back with the yummies and water for the racers! So bring your speed and your appetite!

04.01.09 - Ed Hardy Sport!
Now get this - the 2009 PdR Festival Shirts are being designed by Ed Hardy Sport. What does this mean? It means awesome shirts for everyone! We plan on continuing our record setting third straight year of BEST EVENT T-SHIRT! All 1-Mile Swimmers, 5k Runners and Aquathletes receive one with their registration! We'll have designs up in May!

03.09.09 - New Website, events, dates, etc. etc.!
Welcome to the new site of the TYR Playa del Run Beach Festival presented by Ed Hardy Sport. Yes, Beach Festival. We've added some new fun events to the existing 5k Run and Aquathlon (swim/run). We've got a 1 mile swim for those "I only swim type people" and a great 1 Mile Sand Sprint that happens after all the festivities (complete with obstacles)! And to top it off, we have a new title sponsor TYR and beneficiary, Heal the Bay! So check out the new website and we'll see everyone on June 7, 2009 at Huntington Beach.

01.12.09 - 2009 Series
How can it already be January??? We'll have dates posted for the 2009 series by February 1st. Most events will be on the same day/weekend as in 2008! See you at the beach!
